Amblyopia & Strabismus

Amblyopia (Lazy Eye)

What it is:
Amblyopia is reduced vision in one eye due to abnormal visual development during childhood.

 

Common signs:

  • Poor depth perception

  • One eye turning inward or outward

  • Reduced vision in one eye

Prescription lenses, vision therapy, and treatment plans tailored to children. Early diagnosis leads to the best outcomes.


Strabismus (Eye Misalignment)

What it is:
Strabismus occurs when the eyes do not align properly and point in different directions.

 

Common signs:

  • Eyes that appear crossed or misaligned

  • Double vision

  • Eye strain or reduced depth perception

 

Treatment options:
Glasses, vision therapy, or surgical referral when necessary.
