Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is a progressive condition that affects the central part of the retina (macula), leading to a gradual loss of central vision. It is most common in older adults and can affect activities like reading or recognizing faces. While there is no cure, treatment options such as nutritional supplements, anti-VEGF injections, or laser therapy can help slow the progression of the disease and preserve remaining vision.
